Life and Changes.

3. I am now a bartender and back server at Emeril's Atlanta.
4. In case you haven't seen my previous posts, I've left Holiday Inn Suites.
5. (I'd previously wanted to become a teacher and/or professor AFTER having my main career for 20-30 years...)
6. Now, I'm starting to seriously consider becoming a teacher sooner than later.
7. I bought a car... (a silver 2007 Toyota Corolla LE)...
8. ...My very first car... Aside from Al (the Alero)...
9. I'd broken my phone in attempts to change the faceplate and now have a phone with very few numbers....
10. For those of you with whom I haven't spoken to on a regular basis: Please send me an email or text with your contact info.
11. Time Management Task Number One:  Plan TWO outfits for the following day...
12. ...When that day comes, WEAR one of the two outfits regardless of mood...
13. ...and IF the outfits have not been planned, THEN I must wear the first outfit that I try on...

25. Anthony surprised me with a new penguin: (still un~named)... and a movie date:  Happy Feet (in IMAX)
26. I got to meet a chihuahua named Peanut.
27. Mary Rose, Carlo(s), Anthony, Ate Jill, Yamato, and I had a pre~Thanksgiving dinner at Anthony and Yamato's which was followed by an intense game of Taboo.
28. Mom and I got to spend some time together earlier in the week, and I'll be going down to PTC with Ate Jill in a few hours...
29. For the first official time, I'll be going shopping on the Busiest Day of the Year: Black Friday...
30. ...In search of a laptop for myself and "just because" and Christmas presents for my loved ones...

Reflections

...Last Friday...

  I had my final audit shift at the Holiday Inn.  I didn't get to see Vanessa, as I'd hoped, although I think that was her car pulling out of the parking lot as I was pulling in. As usual, I had a great conversation with Stephen and a barrel of laughs.  I'll miss being "Nic @ Nite" and telling him "I'll see you dark and late" rather than "bright and early" since my shift would start so late. 

I held it together... Rather, the Holy Spirit held me together as we said our goodbyes (although I may work a shift from time to time in the future).  When he left, though, I felt really sad...  I'll miss him, and I'm really grateful for all of the advice that he's given me over the past year or so.  Stephen's a guy that radiates with goodness.  It wasn't until very recently  that I truly realized that the goodness is the Holy Spirit's touch, and THANK GOD for blessing him with the knowledge of His Power and Christ's.

A few tears ran down my cheeks, but I smiled.  I have so many wonderful memories of the place...

A guest checked in after audit:  Hayes:  May God bless you and your fiancee spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, intellectually, and financially...  I enjoyed talking with you and Congratulations on your wedding to come.

Hayes and I chatted for a good 2 hours--even after Barbara came. 

Miss Barbara:  One of the Main Reasons why I stayed at the hotel for so long.    Her laugh is so contagious and melodic.  I'll miss hearing stories about how she and her family are doing, especially feeling her happiness as she describes her days with her husband, who takes such great care of her.  They remind me of a special someone in my life...  =)  I really hope that we'll get to have dinner together one day... or just hang out...  She's a great person, and I'm sure that he is too.

Before the tears could form a drop, one of the new team members and the rest of the morning crew strolled in.  Ann seemed like a very nice person; I'm sure that if I'd stayed, she and I would have really had good times too.  Miss Helen came in with her smiling face and wonderful sense of humor and Miss Ollie with her sweet disposition and her caring way.  I just about cried again...

Hopefully I'll finish some other time... I'm getting a little tired...  So I'm off...

2. I'm behind in my research project for Research Methods.
3. Forget about Biochemistry...  What's a chemical structure again?
4. Social Psyc's making me realize my cognitive dissonance.
5. I've got a lot of neglected Health Psyc reading material still unopened.
6. Senioritis is setting in. 
7. Graduation Number One takes place in the Summer of 2007:  Bachelor's of Science in Psychology.
8. My Bachelor's of Science in Nursing to be continued in Fall 2007.
9. I'm falling behind in accounts balancing and organizing paperwork.
10. Small piles of random junk and thingamajigs are accumulating on my desk.
11. I think I've seen most of the Law & Order (SVU and CI) re~runs now.
12. I need to put my laundry away, but do I have enough hangers?
13. Dad's in town for the weekend.
14. We're going to have a family lunch/brunch or something like that today.
15. My University Career Services internship is providing me with some helpful occupational information.
16. I played catch up with a great friend earlier in the evening (Saturday night).
17. My "He most likely..." thoughts were confirmed....
18. It made me feel weird....
19. As if I have a say in anything....
20. He probably thinks the same thing about me....
21. But I'll never tell.
22. I have just one more comment about the conversation:  Maybe she now approves--now that it's too late.
23. In my scrubs/pambahay still, I met up with Mom and Dad at Wendy's, where we couldn't even find ONE clean table, and I at a junior bacon cheeseburger for the first time in a super long while.
24. We said our goodbyes.
25. I put on my robe and went away.
26. A  motorcyclist had me driving super slowly as a wagon driver tail~gated me, trying to pressure me into speeding up.
27. I think I miss you.
28. A nurse, a doctor, a go~go dancer to be and a guy who gave up on a costume were outside as I pulled into the parking lot.
29. If only we'd stuck to the original plan.
30. I started feeling suckie, lethargic, and emotional.
31. I won't get many more Saturday's off... I don't think.
32. I wanted to write.... talk....  You would've taken me out.
